50 - 64 Flu for those not in an at risk group - Updated 20 November 2020 We heard on the news this morning that further flu vaccines are being made available as of 1 December. We are awaiting further information on how to order the additional stock and who is going to administer the vaccinations. We are unable to offer appointments for this group at present. We will post here when we have further information.
COVID Vaccine - We welcome news of a COVID vaccine. However, despite what is being reported in the media, we are not poised and ready to administer the vaccine as yet. We are currently, like all practices around the country, liaising with the other parts of the NHS to determine how the new COVID vaccination can be administered. Please do not ring the surgery to enquire about the vaccination. We do not have any details as yet but we will make it known as and when we know more.
Travel to and from Denmark - Following the latest Government guidance If you have returned from Denmark in the last 14 days you should be self isolating and only seeking medical help when it is urgent. Routine care should wait until you are out of isolation and/or have no COVID symptoms.
Breast Screening - We have been advised that those of our patients that are eligible for breast screening will be invited in the next few weeks to contact Somerset Breast Screening Service to book an appointment. We encourage eligible patients to make an appointment for this screening.

Somerset has been chosen by NHS England to introduce a new scheme that will allow you to make an appointment to see a health professional in a GP practice outside the usual working hours of GP surgeries. The scheme works by getting a gropu of GP practices together so that they can open up in turn at the new times.
